Hello!
I’m Ashley, an elementary teacher turned stay at home mom. I am absolutely loving my time at home with my little peanut Reagan (nicknamed Rooster), but my teacher flair is still there. I may be taking a break from the education world, but I am a teacher at heart. I enjoy being super organized and LOVE to plan special activities, lessons, and adventures for my little “Rooster”. I also enjoy spending time with my “mom friends”. I have met some amazing women since having my daughter and couldn’t imagine navigating this crazy journey called motherhood without them!
In this blog I will be sharing some of the creative things I do and make with my daughter. I like to consider myself to be quite thrifty, so I won’t be asking you to spend much to learn along with us. I try to use materials I have laying around the house or things that can be found at the dollar store. It honestly doesn’t take a lot of money to entertain/teach a toddler if you get creative! You will see that some of the activities I try go great, where others are a total bust! In an effort to keep it REAL I will be sharing the blunders as well! I will also be sharing some of the fun activities I plan and participate in with my friends. Finding balance and keeping your own identity after motherhood is a challenge, but I have found that making time for me makes me a better mom. Remember: You are important too!
Starting this blog is something I have considered doing for some time now, but I didn’t know if it would be something others would want to read. However, I am deciding to go for it! If nothing else, it will be a fun way to document my adventures while Raising my Rooster. And if it can help a few parents come up with ideas for their kids, it is a success in my mind.
