The past week I took a little break from blogging and technology in general! And I must say, it was kind of refreshing. Our family has a cabin in northern Wisconsin, so we always make a long trip up around the Fourth of July. My cell phone honestly doesn’t even work at the cabin. We have internet, but it is slower than the dial-up I had as a kid. And if ANYONE else in the cabin logs on, forget it! But anyways, it provided a nice break from our normally fast paced world and let us focus on the simple, and truly more important things in life: quality family time!
We spent the week swimming, biking, boating, fishing, and just enjoying nature! We had way too much ice cream and not near enough vegetables, but it is okay. The days were filled with sunshine, laughter, and cocktails. It was exactly the low key vacation that we needed. And if you ask my daughter, she would say the cabin is her favorite place. It’s not fancy or large, but it is a place where she gets to spend endless hours with her family exploring all that nature has to offer.
Where is your favorite place to vacation? Do you have one spot your go to repeatedly or like to explore somewhere new every time? I would love to hear what your family enjoys!
